Food Service Account Access Tutorial

With the new location, we have a new system for school lunches and breakfasts bought from the cafeteria. Here's a helpful tutorial with steps to show how to see the balance left in the account at any time,  how to add money to your student's meal account, and how to see what's on the menu for breakfast and lunch.

Back in September, there was a school-wide email detailing how to buy blocks of meals, and to set up a declining balance account if needed. While that link allowed you to set up the account on your student's ID, it did not offer any way to check remaining balances.

By following these instructions, you'll be able to have your account username and password activated, and you can use that login to check old balances.

Note: If you've already added money to your student's ID card, you still need to set up an account via this method to be able to check the balance.  You'll still need to add money to your student's account via the Dine On Campus Meal Plans Link though.

Setting Up A Student Meal Account

Go to the SUNY CNSE Manage My Meal Plan main page and click the link that says "Register Now" under the heading "Register for Web Account Access"

When you get to the registration page,  add your student's ID number from their Tech Valley High School ID card. The whole number is not used, just a portion.  Ignore the last four numbers - the last numeral before the big space plus the last three numbers. Then, the 6 digits to the left of that will be the ID you enter.

For example if the number on the back of the your student's swiper is 6039501201116224 879, the ID number you would type in is 111622. (There is a space between the long number and the last three numbers.) *Explanation borrowed from the email from Mr. Liebert explaining how to log in to add money to the lunch accounts.

The last name is easy, just use your student's last name.

The next page will ask you to choose a username and password, and to enter profile information.  After that, you'll be able to see all of your student's account balances.

Remember, for breakfasts and other extra purchases outside of the main school lunch menu for the day, you'll need to set up a "Declining Balance" account.  For just lunches alone, you can buy blocks of 10 for $40 or 20 for $75, but they do expire as of 12/23/14 for this semester.  Again, you must add any money to the account using the Dine On Campus Meal Plans link.

What's On The Menu?

To see a menu for each day, go to the Dine On Campus menu page.

On the left hand navigation section, choose your venue from the drop down list as "Nano High School".  You'll get a listing for that day for Breakfast and Lunch (tabs just below the week's calendar above, Breakfast loads first)  You can see other days of the week by clicking the appropriate date on the listing above the food menu.

Hope that helps!

Moving Day for TVHS Coming Up Soon

Looks like things are progressing nicely for the move to the new space at the College of Nanoscale Science and Engineering for Tech Valley High School!

It's a tight timetable, but so far things look to be on schedule for opening day, September 4 for the new freshman class, and September 5 for the upper classes.

Welcome Class of 2018!

The Tech Valley High School Parent Activities Council extends a warm welcome to this year's incoming freshman class and their families!

The Parent Activities Council is the TVHS version of a PTA or PTO.  We are an independent organization, and work throughout the year to support our students and faculty.

We welcome involvement from all parents, and look forward to getting to know you.  PAC president, Gina Martin, treasurer Allison Welty, and the senior & sophomore class liaison Patricia Fines will be at the freshman orientation picnic this Wednesday, July 23, to meet you in person.  Hope to see you then!
